Grounded in 10,000+ DGCA questions

What's the difference between V1, Vr and V2 on a takeoff?
Verified · grounded in 3 questions

V1 is the takeoff decision speed — past it, you're committed to flying. Vr is rotation speed, where you pull back to lift the nosewheel. V2 is the safe single-engine climb speed you hold after a failure.

How it works

Not a chatbot guessing. A tutor that cites its sources.

Every grounded answer goes through a three-stage pipeline. You see the citations in the chat — and a clear “Unverified” badge when we couldn't find a match.

  1. 01

    Ask anything

Type a DGCA, RTR or general aviation question the way you'd ask an instructor — full sentences, follow-ups, the lot.

  2. 02

    Grounded retrieval

We search 10,000+ verified PilotSphere questions and pull the most relevant ones into the model's context before it writes a word.

  3. 03

    Cited answer

You get a clean, exam-style explanation with citation chips back to the source questions — or a clear 'Unverified' badge if we couldn't ground it.

What it knows

Six DGCA subjects. Plus RTR. Plus the interview.

The tutor draws on the same question bank that powers our mock tests, so the answers you get match the way DGCA actually phrases its papers.

  • Navigation

Charts, ICAO procedures, position fixing, great-circle vs rhumb line, the 1-in-60 rule.

  • Meteorology

METAR, TAF, CB cloud formation, dew point, icing, fronts — read like a working pilot.

  • Technical General

Aerodynamics, engines, V-speeds, twin-engine handling, performance and limitations.

  • Air Regulations

DGCA CARs, ICAO Annexes, flight-time limits, medicals — the regs that show up on every paper.

  • RTR (A)

Phraseology, readbacks, Mayday vs Pan-Pan, RTR(A) exam-style transmissions.

  • Interview Prep

Airline HR, technical rounds, situational questions — practise out loud at 2 a.m.

DGCA · Meteorology

What is the dew point, and how does it relate to fog formation?
Verified · grounded in 4 questions

The dew point is the temperature to which air must be cooled (at constant pressure) for it to become saturated — i.e. for the relative humidity to reach 100%.

Why it matters for fog: when the ambient temperature drops to within about 2°C of the dew point and the air is still, the water vapour condenses out as tiny droplets near the surface — that's radiation fog. A spread of less than 1°C in a METAR is a strong fog warning.

Tip: in a METAR, “14/13” means temp 14°C, dew point 13°C — spread of 1°C, fog is likely.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

Because aviation answers need a source.

Generic chatbots hallucinate confidently. On a DGCA paper that costs you marks. Ask AI Tutor is built to be auditable.
